I did with the 2013 models and would have to agree with the drive aspect of VWs being better. There's just something about the steering that is impecible(especially when paired with sport mode). add in the safety and I was sold.

This is probably true, but the Jetta feels huge inside for its class. There was more legroom in the back of my Jetta than there is in my Mother's Impala(which is comparable to the Camry).
