When I was in school I avoided Parker like the plague. People need to learn alternate routes, and not rely on one road.
But not really

What I was saying earlier.

There is way more parking behind the rec than just the houses. Starting this year there will be two large lots for commuters
Eta: I understand that everyone has to find alternate routes, but the Burbank/Parker route was generally quick and efficient for most coming to and from campus. Or at least the most efficient for those from those areas

Or like the ones I said before that part you quoted

also getting the message out is frivolous. most regualr college kids don't read the paper, or watch the news. most don't even know what a flashing yellow signifies. they just think the light is messed up and tard out at the intersection. whoever posted the video yesterday was a perfect example. someone is going to get killed there.

Most students live off Burbank or toward the river down Brightside. W Parker is the main access for them
That's stupid. They could pass Parker and get to the CEBA lots using Milford. Or get to the north side by going to Nicholson.
you responded to a quote talking about getting to sorority row with an alternative way to get to CEBA?

This isn't just the college kids.

You can get to Sorority row from the north side ridiculously easily. It will be more miles but infinitely faster than dealing with Parker 9/10 times.

My roommate took the video. And there is plenty more. Walk down there at any point in the day and it looks just like that.
Part of it is being new, but how many wrecks will have to happen before people learn? 3 or 4 have already happened and we will have a huge wave of students come fall who will have to learn too.

I live in 4400 block of Burbank and I own, not rent so moving isn't an option.
Now my alternatives to get home are Parker (which is a block further and a major clusterfrick) and College/Lee which is the same thing. There is no other access close to the condos.
Further away is Essen/Staring and Bluebonnet(see traffic definition for Parker and Lee). It's the same situation at every access route.
Guess I'll be checking gas prices at Circle K and deciding not to buy gas "today". There isn't a no left turn out of Circle K's lot.

It would help if our drivers weren't retarded. I imagine the signal will be taken down before classes resume for fall. At least I hope so.

Where are you coming from?
Posted on 7/10/14 at 2:19 pm to LNCHBOX
I'm very surprised a police officer isn't out there directing traffic after how people have handled it. I mean, shoot, there's probably one nearby anyway writing inspection sticker tickets!

I drove through at lunch, and one was chilling in his car in the Sonic parking lot. Didn't look like he was doing much

I know you're joking. But I'm finding it hard to resist arguing that point

When in Rome, you ought to send the video to that dumbass from DOTD who replied to me.
Ask him to evaluate the video.
