If the black kid was wearing a #blacklivesmatter shirt and the white kid beat his arse, the white kid would immediately be charged with a hate crime. The SJW’s would be out in full force ready to chastise.

The resource officer saw that a law was broken and issued a summons for assault and battery. The other kid did nothing wrong. It was clearly a hat crime.
I imagine priors will play a part in his sentencing. If he has them, he is screwed. If he doesn't, his punishment will be light.

Kids and adults wore Obama T-shirt’s and hats in public places with no fear of confrontation for years. Mexicans wear their flags and colors in high schools and in public every day. It’s only when a conservative wears an evil MAGA hat that it becomes provocative and sinister. The media has done a good job of making sheep out of some of you. Why is it good for one and evil for the other to wear the hat of the President they supported?
