I havent really followed this story since the beginning, so forgive me.
My guess is she got hit by a car while running and she either:
A)Didnt have her phone or fitbit so their triangulation wouldnt work or it put the search in the wrong location
B)Someone freaked out that they hit someone and dumped her somewhere else when they realized she was dead.
Im guessing she was found right off the road, just not where anyone was looking.

Maybe, I've been known to stand on my soapbox, but I've grown tired of the same old racist jabs. It's lazy and offers nothing but a punch line for a bad joke. I guess I'm also very tired of not hearing a credible solution to the murders and shootings in Chicago and lack of attention those children deserve. Just using this forum as an outlet to draw attention to them. Hope it works!

I live in Iowa and guernsey is only like 8 miles away from brooklyn, where she had gone missing from... locally this was a major media event with many searchers. It is very rural around this area but it is hard to fathom they missed her on the first sweep through the county. Sounds like somebody had to of dumped her after the fact.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety said earlier today a body was located by law enforcement authorities in rural Poweshiek County. Investigators are working to confirm the identity and will have more information available at a 4:00 p.m. press conference. There will be no further information released from law enforcement until the press conference.

MONTEZUMA, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says a press conference will be held at 4 p.m. in Montezuma regarding the search for Mollie Tibbetts.
The press conference will be held at the sheriff's office.
Officials won't confirm anything right now, but say a significant amount of information will be shared.
Mitch Mortvedt says a body was found this morning in Poweshiek County, but they haven't identified who it is yet.
Richard Rahn, a spokesperson for the Iowa DCI said they are not commenting on an ongoing investigation.
Tibbetts was last seen in Brooklyn on July 18.
