I grew up out there in the 80s to mid 90s. Hardly recognize the place anymore.

Same here.

I drove through that area earlier this year, and it looked like an abandoned coal-mining town.

I looked the location up, and when I zoomed out I noticed I10 shootings for 2023 on the Google Map. When did this start?

In probably 1979, maybe 1980, there was a shootout with the cops right next to the playground behind St.Alphonsus. Someone had robbed a local store and they chased them near the playground and that’s where the gunplay happened. I’m almost positive they killed the guy. I do recall hearing some of the shots.

I know this because I was a kid playing on that playground when it happened.

There used to be a pool hall in an old wooden shack right near this same bridge. Anyone remember that place?

I remember it very well. It was owned by an elderly couple. It's been closed for 25 years now. I think it was called Central Amusement Center or something like that.

I won a Meuchi poolstick there in a raffle one time.

I will say this should be solved pretty quickly considering Central installed all those fancy license plate readers

phenomenon I've noticed. The culture (I was banned for spelling it the other way) is leaking out of the city limits into the "buffer" suburbs.

Soon those will be taken over and the next burbs in line will be getting the leakage

How do you know this is Baton Rouges fault or anyone's fault?

So the GANGS OF NEW YORK was just a Bible story right?

The Italian Mob didn't exist

The Irish Mafia was a figment of Joe Kennedys brain right?

What about all of the European pillaging all over the world for centuries and continues until today?

Exactly.

Not only do the people in Central not vote for her, they don’t turn out to vote for anyone else either

Yep. The Central voters staying home instead of voting for one of their own gave us this idiot woman in the first place.
