well TBH I have no idea what they are like. I have seen a few documentaries and it seems they have much more order and a lot less violence in their prisons compared to the US. I doubt they are treating her inhumanely...she is probably protected.

Obviously I don't want any US citizen to be sent to a Russian labor camp. It's 100% her fault for breaking the law, but the crime doesn't seem to fit the punishment.
