I'm not a realtor. I own a commercial data cabling company.
I know that I can outearn the commission I'll pay to sell my house by several multiples in the time it takes to sell. It's simply that my time is more valuable than the cost of that commission. I understand that not everyone is in the same boat.

I'm kind of with you
I feel that a realtor makes the whole thing less hassle. They also are more likely to get top dollar than FSBO
It may cost me a few grand but it saves me a lot of hassle and the risk of screwing something up.
My agent also only charges 4% because my wife is a teacher.
My house sold in 1 day for asking price, and the asking price was ~5k more than I probably would have tried to list it for.
