The description was kind of apt though.

It is closer to NOLA's downtown, IMO.

OP, Carmel is the hands-down place to live.
Check it out yourself.

I'm guessing you're single? Can you afford to live downtown?

This is true, but it is extremely nice and not thrown together.

They actually have code enforcement and city planning.

Yes. The prices I've seen are in my range, just making sure that their downtown isn't as boring as Baton Rouge's is and it's safe.

It's a big decision to make. Do you have time to connect with a good realtor and spend a weekend seeing the areas?

Carmel is a pretty awesome town to live in and its pretty easy access to indy from there. And there is a multi use recreational trail that runs from the city to carmel and beyond

Sounds good. And Carmel is actually very close to Fishers, where to office is.

You're way off, Sabi.

Excellent economy, a "headquarters" area for a lot of big drug companies, outstanding public schools.

Yes, they have Gary, but they a lot of excellent areas as well.

Dat weather doe...

Can get pretty frosty, but they do have 4 seasons.

I'm hoping Roger Penske reads my comments so when I go up in May he'll say, "What the hell, give the guy a few laps.

Use the back-up car, though."
