Have never driven a stick

I'm 33. I can't, but I can probably figure it out if I had to. The only person in my family that had one when I was growing up was my grandfather, but he lived 30 minutes away. Attempted to drive my friend's dad's truck for about 5 minutes about 15 years ago.
I will never own any vehicle that isn't an automatic.

Yes. I'm 37 and my truck is a stick. My car is automatic. I prefer driving a stick. Last two cars were stick as well.

Six speed Mazda 3 driver checking in. My sister (no pics) sold her six speed Mini Cooper Type S when she had her first child and got a boring SUV instead, so she's a bit out of practice, but I'm sure she could still do it.
We're both in our 30s. Our mom specifically bought a manual Civic when we were in HS so we could learn to drive stick. And she still drives her VW Jetta TDI wagon. It's a manual and she likes it so much that she refused to sell it back to VW.
To the OP, the truth is that safety systems will eventually eliminate manuals in nearly everything. But it's still a nice skill to have. I'd be more concerned about the safety rating of a Jeep (Wrangler?) for a young driver.

Took my drivers test in a manual. The guy was impressed as he said almost no one did that.
So did I.

I'll be damned if I am spending $20k on a replacement set of PCCB rotors
Meh.
Don't feel bad.
I eliminated the slipper clutch and used to jump down to second to blip the tires to go into a slide.
Fine for off-road... Not fine for pavement. Crunched second gear and put me backwards into a tree.
No brakes and no steering means no control
I was in AWD, so I was screwed
Thankfully the vehicle cost less than your brakes.
