I went 4 years ago and it is a chilling reminder. IMHO it is a "museum" everyone should see at least once in their life time.
Many Poles wanted it torn down, however those in charge at the time were able to keep a clear head and preserve it so future generations could witness the horrible acts man is capable of committing. And also for those who say the gas chambers are a myth and/or that concentration camps never existed, can be factually dismissed.

As someone who has been there, once inside and seeing first hand the horrors, I can say political leans disappear when one walks around that place.
If someone went inside that camp and didn't drop their politics, then that person is a truly horrible person at their core.
