Too bad the US government encroached on states rights (sound familiar?).

Slavery wasn't the cause of the Civil War. The South wanted its own currency and to leave the US banking system. History isn't black and white..no pun intended.

For all those bashing Lee as a loser, did you know this?

“ Because of his reputation as one of the finest officers in the United States Army, Abraham Lincoln offered Lee the command of the Federal forces in April 1861. Lee declined and tendered his resignation from the army when the state of Virginia seceded on April 17, arguing that he could not fight against his own people.”

Yeah, such a loser that the President of the United States wanted him to be in command of all Federal forces.

People just don’t know wtf they are talking about.

Regardless of how you feel about the Civil War, if "loser" comes to mind when you think of this mans character it tells me you really know nothing about him other than what you learned in 9th grade history.

That describes literally his entire, incompetent life outside of leading the industrial might of the north. It's so funny. It's the Yankees who can't seem to let the war go and who continue to project their inadequacies.

Are you really that shallow? Sometimes best to be thought shallow than to open your mouth and be known shallow.

All wars are banker wars.

The Civil War gets discussed at 6:14 but it’s worth watching in its entirety.

He resigned his commission, he violated no oath. And the Union shite all over the Declaration of Independence, betraying the founding document of this country.

I used to think RE Lee overcame his defeat at Appomattox after the war by almost singlehandedly rescuing what was then financially failing Washington College in Lexington, Virginia, and bringing it back to life as a small, very substantial institution of higher learning. I got to see the now Washington and Lee College up close and personal when I lived a few blocks from there a few years ago. The place is a shite pot and a commie freak show. What else is new. There is also a move afoot to erase the names of both Washington and Lee from the sign out front and replace them with some non-white male commie freak that is more compatible with what it is presently. I've heard Patrice Lalumba's name batted around.
Just one more reason I presently live in self-exile from the United States of America.
