There is truth that this current administration's faux pas and enabling of inflation in fuel, labor and energy prices has trickled down to farmer's expenses and their bottom lines. But please don't let the facts get in the way of a good joke...

, still has nothing to do with it being an election year.

Tgrbaitn08 has period of such shitty posting that everyone just assumed he was serious.

Oh for fricks sake.

The shite takes and ignorance of crawfish market dynamics by many here is par for the course here in the OT.

I'm just posting here as a bookmark for in case fin comes back and drops some knowledge on this topic. Also as a reminder for me to bump this with a post and pic of my new Lambo after the season is over.

Almost everyone here is old or retarded or both. Crawfish are going to be a struggle this year. Drought, water table liability, etc will have even basin bugs in March struggling 75% behind normal volume based on what we are seeing on the farm.

The records don't mean th numbers are correct. I'm just going by what I know personally. I would even go further, to say those clowns in Pierre Part who set the "market" hide a bunch of money too. It all boils down to make every excuse known to man to jack up the price, and consumers are silly enough to pay due to demand.

That’s what I was saying earlier. Atchafalya River @ Morgan City needs to be at least at 4’ to set traps below the ICWW, and it’s at 1’ right now and it has been for almost over a year.

We can’t even hardly fish or duck hunt. No fkn water

Nothing says America first like eating Chinese crawfish. Enjoy your diarrhea but hey you saved a couple bucks that’s all that matters right……

Crayfish overrated as frick.

PIA to get a little bit of meat and messy as shite.

Solution to higher prices: Don’t buy them. One the demand goes down so do the prices.

Gross. Luckily for me I live in the Cajun prairie and am starting to see traps out.

Crawfish…. What polarizing little creatures, look no further than this thread.

Demand won’t go down. Easter early this year plus little crawfish means demand will be higher than ever before

Nahhh brah. You've been farming crawfish too long and don't understand how it be anymore.

Let the experts here learn you a thing or two and all the crawfish producers on the board can take some notes from their knowledge and make crawfish great again...

Will the Dems give 76 billion to crawfish farmers?

With the way this season's setting up you better hope that the USDA helps farmers mitigate the weather induced losses this year. Otherwise this thread might be repeated many times over next season after some producers are unable to continue operating and causes acreage and supply to drop off even further.

I buy LA crawfish only.

My point is that if you’re going to truck and sell them across TX, thereby decreasing supply for people in LA, don’t be hypocritical when people here buy Chinese crawfish.

That’s not going to stop people from buying Chinese crawfish

I won’t bc I only by Louisiana shrimp and crawfish but some people will and restaurants will have no choice.

Yeah I’ve always assumed most restaurants are using imported crawfish due to the margins.

People can do what they want it’s a free country. If they want the Bergeron tailmeat from China that’s on them but you’d be surprised the health codes they don’t have to go through to get into the US markets

Alot of restaurants do it. They passed a law I think that they must declare it on their menus. So a lot of them just put it in small print on their menus.

No doubt they do. But like SWLA just said
