Poor Danny
He could still maybe make it to the Gulf and blow up or curve out to sea towards Bermuda or even Punta Cana!

So we're all in the clear here in Mobile, right?

Or you could just go to the NOAA website and get all that info yourself.

98L is appears to be consolidating way south

you wanna start the thread for it? Looks like it could become at least a TD tonight. Hell GFS and ECMWF are both damn near initializing it as a TS already

It could probably use a thread given how far south it is and the fact that it looks to be a large system. A few of the Euro ensembles track it towards the Gulf but most likely it will fish.

No worries El Nino grande is going to make it highly unlikely that we will see a major storm hit us

No US majors since Oct '05... that didn't take El Nino

I just want the average temperature to be around 65 for a few days.

yeah I'm thinking atlantic curve on this one too if it survives. probably more a threat to me in the northeast than 90% of this board

How do ya'll know this stuff? Checking the wind shears? Do these storms take the path of least resistance? I'm just so intrigued watching ya'lls posts and predictions.

rds dc and I both have degrees in meteorology. I forecast every day... not sure what rds does.
this far out it's mostly looking at model forecasts, some development metrics like kelvin waves, and a bit of climatology.
the storms aren't smart enough to take the path of least resistance... they need a force steering them. if they took the path of least resistance every hurricane would be a monster.
