My wife and I honeymooned at Disney as well. We tried to get a picture on the Rocking Roller-coaster wearing our Disney wedding hats. Went to look at the photo, and the guy sitting in front of us had his arms up blocking our faces.

The girl from the photo booth saw how disappointed we were and personally escorted us through a backroom to the front of the line and made sure we got a front seat for a perfect picture.

She didn't have to do that, but it was one of the many examples of how they went above and beyond to make that week special for us.

I stay off property and drive in. It's easy to do and works great. I doubt we will stay on property any time soon.

If you drive, it's certainly a viable option, BUT not being able to select your FP+ at 60 days is a huge knock on off-site right now.

If your kids are older, can stay until park closing, don't care about Anna & Elsa, etc. it isn't as big of a deal but if you are paying for a hotel or something off-site Disney had been very successful at pricing their resorts very competitively.

It isn't the savings it once was.

Hollywood studious is preparing for a major overhaul. It was already a thin park in terms of attraction count and they've closed or are scheduled to close almost half of the park at this point. It is even rumored to be getting a name change and possibly a layout change since it's not very intuitive.

yeah try having an event after 5pm....that'd help people go. It needs a night crowd. Don't pay to go over there in the afternoon and expect to do more that 1 or 2 things

FP+ sucks arse. I HATE it. I much rather the old system where you have to physically go to the ride you want to ride and get print outs. The old system was far superior.
As far as Elsa and Anna, I didn't want to wait in that line so I stood them up on my shoulders near the door so they could see them.
(It was three hours long)

I'm not going back till 2016, I don't think.
We gave them the choice of Mexico, Tennessee or Disney World this vacation and they chose Mexico.
(resort/inclusive, not a border town)

How awesome would it be for them to begin construction on the largest ride ever constructed? In response to Epcot's Spaceship Earth, build Hollywood Studio's The Frickin Death Star.

They literally have something for everyone there.

I honestly thought that adults liking Disney was probably based mostly on nostalgia. However, my brother-in-law went for the first time two years ago, and isn't into all the cartoony stuff. He absolutely loved it, and was amazed that they just go out of their way to make it fun for people.

It really is much more than the parks.

I actually like it, but it fits how we toured before hand. We (well, me) are planners by nature. We wait until the operating hours come out to know what parks will be the most crowded (based off of who has extra magic hours, special parades, fireworks etc) so we know what parks to avoid when. Because we know what parks we will likely be in on what day during our stay, we can easily book our dining at 180 days. Then, at 60 days all we need to do is select three of our MUST DOs on that day. We always get hoppers and almost always arrive before the park opens.

This will be my fourth trip since FP+ started (January for us) and the longest line we waited in was for Soarin and we actually had a FP+. Actually, I lied...last January we waited abour 2 hours and 15 minutes for Anna & Elsa when they were in Epcot, but that was a different scenario (we waited without our daughter with some friends as we were cheering people on during the marathon).

Some people don't like FP+ because it requires planning and planning feels restrictive to alot of people. I actually feel quite the opposite. We'll hit Animal Kingdom in the morning with no FP+..Ride the Safari, Everest, see lion King and Nemo, ride Dinosaur, Primevil Whirl meet Mickey & Minnie at Adventruers Outpost, then hit lunch at Sanaa. After lunch we can head to the Magic Kingdom where I know I have FP+ waiting for for the Festival of Fantasy Parade right in the hub, Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain.

Another huge benefit for us is that we hardly ever used the legacy FP+ system. Over a week's time, we MIGHT have used 5 FPs total.

It's awesome being able to walk to/from Magic Kingdom. We stayed there in January and are staying at Beach Club next month. Being able to walk to/from Epcot and Hollywood Studios at all the Epcot resorts saves so much time.
