SNAP benefits are not allowable for prepared food items.
TANF benefits (aka welfare, aka cash benefits) are similar to a debit card and can be used for pretty much anything that isn't tobacco or alcohol

Business owners can accept them if they want.
incorrect
SNAP (food stamps) benefits are only allowable for grocery-type items no matter what the business owner says

Sure they might not be accepting "SNAP foodstamp benifits" but they are running their EBT cards through a card reader and giving cash to the customer right on the spot.
You cannot transfer SNAP benefits into cash. TANF benefits are similar to a debit card which is reloaded every month and the type of purchase on can make is less restrictive than SNAP

This is one of the big problems with those who swallow "the narrative" and how the hatred of poor people has gotten out of control.
Both snap (food stamp) benefits and tanf benefits are issued to the same card. This is not a matter of running the card to get cash, but using those benefits to buy a prepared food items. Are we so mean spirited that we think those folks can't get a po-boy occasionally?
Fwiw the people who are lying to get government benefits are thieves. In reality that's only 5-10 percent. They're no different than the CEOs whose company's got bailouts, laid off thousands, and then got 7 or 8 figure bonuses.

Poor people hate rich people more. Haven't you seen that narrative more than a few times?

1. You seem to be constantly pissed off.
2. The restaurant will likely lose some business for this...and gain another variety of business. Free enterprise bro.

BTW,If indeed you are correct, don't you think those TANF benefit holders already know they have the option to use those benefits same as cash?
Why then the need to advertise in a big arse storefront sign?

From a thread a few months ago:

The key part of that sign is "CASH BENEFIT".
It's still hard as hell, but doable, to use the "food stamp aka SNAP" benefits on prepared food, but the "cash benefit" part of the cards is available to use on anything.

Who would ever advertise something we all know about?
BTW, anybody heard if this new drink the kids are talking about?

It has gotten out of control because they are out of control. I wasn't born hating poor people. I grew up a poor fellow. I only started hating them from the things I've seen them do. Please don't mistake justified hatred for stupidity. Otherwise, carry on.

for non-emergency situations, that is exactly what they are for...care to provide any evidence to support your claim?
