I heard when he first moved to the city he tried to buy in Audubon Place but was denied. I have a hard time believing this is true.

Can we all agree its better than the French Quarter?

No, I almost got murdered there today. And yesterday and last week.

Tourist, do not go to Frenchmen, it is unsafe, and all the clubs only play Dub Step and Bass drop music. There are no places to eat, and a lot of crime.

No he doesn't, unless he moved recently

I thought he lived on Newcomb, I'm pretty sure he does.
I know another high profile Saint has a place on Perrier that is almost right on the park.

It's disingenuous to compare one street to the entire quarter and say it's better. Yes there is garbage in the Quarter, but there are also a lot of great things about it.

Yes, if you are walking around with a souvenir hand grenade cup from troical isle while wearing plaid cargo shorts and a shirt that says "drunk 1 or 2" you will be abducted, drugged and wake up in a basement chained to a radiator.

Agree, I love the area around Cosimos in the Upper Quarter and always feel safe around there. As well as Decatur street around the market. Gutter Punks wont bother you.

It's my goal to get the tourists to stop taking over the locals areas. We may have to abandon Frenchmen soon.

I'm with ya. We should start a "take back our streets" campaign and wear shirts that say so. Not for pointing out the 15 year old "new orleanians" that will rob you but for the terrible overweight tourist to leave our areas alone.

I have no problem with tourist. The misinformed ones just stay in the FQ anyway. I'm always helpful when I see them around my spots. If you want to start taking places back you should start with kennerbrah.

I've long given that up, I stay here for the low crime, and good streets.

Everything else I go to the city for.

Napoleon's on a mission and I get it. I have to stop recommending Frenchmen to people.
