I had this condition about twenty years ago, popping my shoulder while working out. A physical therapist took my right arm and worked my shoulder joint for about twenty minutes. It was about the worst pain I have ever felt. I was then given a pully contraption that hung on a door to pull my arm up.
After more therapy and doing the exercises, I have had no problems since.

Same. No identifiable cause.

I was diagnosed once, but gave the doctor the cold shoulder

I had it in my left shoulder almost 4 years ago. They gave me a shot in my shoulder and I did PT for 4/5 months. Would never know anything was ever wrong.

Got to ortho and get a subacromial corticosteroid steroid injection. Physical therapy for 6-8 weeks with focus on stretching and increasing ROM, no strengthening. If still not better, manipulation under anesthesia by ortho surgeon followed by PT.
Excellent advice. I had should surgery for a SLAP tear in 2021. It was a lingering issue that I had for over a decade. More PT and manipulation under anesthesia would have been a better option than surgery, imo.

Find a great ortho surgeon that specializes in shoulders. Martin DeGravelle in Monroe, La is one of the best. Usually they will take you into a surgery room put you to sleep, and rotate the shite out of your shoulder. Breaking up scar tissue, etc. Trust me you want to be asleep when this is done. Then follow up on all PT appointments and do the exercises.

Had during covid lockdown, probably from doing dips without warming up.
Got x-ray and MRI to make sure no bigger problem existed. Got one subacromial corticosteroid steroid injection which definitely help extend movement. Refused to drive 30 minutes each way to get PT while wearing a mask so just stretched it every time I walked through a door frame. In my experience, if you know that nothing else is compromised/damaged, just need to continually stretch it out past where it becomes really painful until you get to full range of motion. Took about 4 months to get to 95% range…probably a year before I stopped thinking about it.

I was diagnosed with it in 2022 and still have lingering effects from it
PT didn’t help that much in my case.
Dr. Mazoch at the Bone and Joint Clinic is who I go see for treatment. Gives me a steroid shot right into the shoulder that helps a lot more than the PT does. Improves the range of motion, but still don’t have full 100%.
