90% of climate change issues are political today.

The problem has been hijacked by socialists. It's impossible to discuss climate change without discussing politics.

A performance is a bit different than pushing a policy agenda, no?

It is a religion in that the overwhelming majority of the belief can not be proven. It takes faith. This climate crisis agenda requires faith that a ton of factors that can’t be remotely proven are in fact true.

Also, there’s huge holes in this crisis that people just chose to ignore. Most notably that the human impact relative to the natural is basically non existent, and definitely not something that will be a tipping point to this “global extinction” that’s being preached to the youth.

Once again the way to go about this is honesty. Should we have a cleaner planet and breath cleaner air? Of course. Tell the truth about why instead of panicking (lying) to a generation of kids that they’re going extinct

Then take it back. Support people who present sane solutions. There are ways for the free market to flock to clean energy without socialist take over. With proper research, most clean energy will be cheaper than fossil fuels in a short period of time. After that, the market will eliminate fossil fuels on its own.

That's an argument worth having. Not arguing over whether it's real or not, that's just a waste of everyone's time.

What in your opinion is being denied? That the earth is warming? Are we back to calling it global warming now that it’s getting hot again or are we still on climate change bc it cooled a couple years? Are we denying the impact human emissions are having? Bc that’s a point that the science is extremely undecided on. Are we denying it’s irreversible?

This.

It hasn’t be decided. However, we’re denying it.....doesn’t make sense

As the atmosphere heats up, more CO2 is released, which heats up the atmosphere, which releases more CO2, which heats up the atmosphere, which releases more CO2, which heats up the atmosphere

There are plenty of "sane solutions" being presented, but I'm sure that's treated about the same as 'common sense gun control."

What socialists want is an economic takeover.

So we’re back to calling it global warming? Great

So in this exponential heat phenomenon you explained what percentage of that is do to humans?

So we outsource all our production to China and then blame them for the consequences? "It's not us, it's them!"

That is not how leaders behave.

Production being outsourced to China isn't even a fraction of the reason why they, and India, are the largest polluters by far. The main reason is they (their governments) simply don't care.

And I'll ask you the same thing I've asked everyone else, and have yet to receive an answer:

What is your solution?

Carbon is a greenhouse gas, the more of it you have in the atmosphere the more heat is trapped. This can have varying effect on the atmosphere, the most trackable of which is a steady increase in heat energy trapped in the atmosphere. Our current sources of energy release carbon into the atmosphere which makes these effects worse.

Can we agree on this?

Do you think CO2 is a pollutant?

No, but it is a greenhouse gas. Too much of it and we burn, not enough and we freeze. It's a delicate balance. So pulling crap tons of it out of the ground and pumping it into the air in a very short period of time is a little dangerous.

Can you provide numbers in terms of energy per unit area (W/sf)?

While I agree this is the direction we need to take here in the US, it really won't matter in the long run.

We aren't the problem. And the countries that are, simply don't care.

Can we agree carbon has a “varying” effect on the atmosphere? Sure

Can we also agree on where the overwhelmingly majority of said carbon comes from?

Can we agree what effect if any limiting emissions will have on global temps?

Can we agree on if this exact same thing had happened on earth before pre dating fossil fuels?

I'm just going to cut to the chase and provide the numbers:

This is how CO2 behaves as a greenhouse gas by itself:

This is how C)2 behaves as a greenhouse gas as a mixture in our atmosphere (this is the realistic behavior):

This is the heating effect of as CO2 concentrations increase:

In conclusion, we are not going to die.
