I think we should allow Nurse Practitioners more power. You'd get lower health care costs. If a NP is capable of writing prescriptions, he/she is more than capable of acting as a "family doctor". Hell, all a family doctor does for the most part is refer you to someone. I also honestly think a NP would probably be less likely to be prideful in a diagnosis and stay with an original diagnosis if the person is still having issues, which ultimately leads to people not being diagnosed early, leading to premature death.

I've never gone to see an NP,but if you're in Pain Management,as I am,you see the NP and deal with them way more than the Doctor.

Their Name and DEA # and all are on top of the prescription along side the Doctor, but the Doctor signs them.

I'm at this Doctor just 3 months so I haven't figured out if I like the NP yet.I hope she turns out to be nice and helpful.

Average NP salary is 100k.
I work for the largest health system in Louisiana and top 5 health system in the entire US. After a quick data dump, the average NP makes $85,000 while the average CRNA is $148,000......

It's not even close to the same thing. NP know a shite load more about their field than paralegals
