That’s what I drove in High School and College. 351 V8. Both the transmission and engine, amongst other things, had major work before 100k miles. Probably didn’t help that I drive it like I stole it. My brother drove it for a bit before our dad got tired of sinking money into it.

Not a truck but the 2015-2024 V6 4runners are the goat. I love how simple mine is.

I've owned both, I like the mechanicals of the GMT800 better but that rocker panel design made them more susceptible to rust if you live in an area that salts roads.

Interior is probably better on the 400.

Currently have a GMT400, extended cab Z71. Also have a cateye GMT800, work truck. Long wheel base with manual everything and 100k miles.
