1. Don’t show up with bad paper work
2. Don’t get in debt
3. Stand up for yourself when you get tested .... you will be tested
That’s what I hear about prisons but I don’t know about Louisiana specifically

Gonna depend on where you go and the kind of man you are. EBRPP, not a huge problem. Angola long term, they will try so dont be a bitch unless you are one. Did 10 mos in EBRPP for drug offense in early 90's. Pops wouldn't let anyone bail me out and wound up getting charges dropped for my PIC claiming responsibility on plea deal. Was in J-wing with other drug offenders. Had to maintain respect by not being a little bitch about things and not letting the crack dealers punk you, but the butthole was pretty safe and not much of a concern. There were little punks in there on inside sucking dick that didnt on the outside just to avoid beatings. So depends on the kind of man you are.

Haha...well cant hurt me now. I mean low level in the whole scheme. 80s and 90s La. Club scene was something. Slinging was my employment. There were some large 5 digit deals of X, Acid and/or coke but that was biggest. Thankfully never got popped during any big movement or could have done some major time. Now when making purchases I have been in a room with more than $1 million worth of product. Its a unique feeling for sure.

Hell no, my record is clean. I had a well paid attorney that worked a deal to get my buddy to say it was his stuff and plea to misdemeanor possession. He got 2 years probation for first offense and I got off...he had a public defender and was happy to take misdemeanor.

My good friend got time and had to serve EBR and federal. Consecutive. I spent over 7 years visiting different jails. EBR, Concordia, Catahoula, etc. They transferred to feds in Yahoo, MS. None of it is good. It is jail/prison. Some are safer than others but they all operate by their own rules. It is not a place you want someone to go or visit. Post Katrina you could not find if someone was dead or alive. It’s prison/jail. You don’t ever want to be there, visit there or worry about someone incarcerated that you care about.

Honestly guys, I am pushing 50 now so had to look up what an AMA is. I might consider if enough interest is shown in this post (apologies for hijack OP). Always been more of an under the radar kind of guy. Funny tidbit...close to being an AARP member so got me a little 50 acre homestead in the rural mountains of Vermont growing and raising my own food, including one particular crop that is very legal here. Kind of hard to completely drop the hustle after you found you enjoy and are skilled at playing the game. Just found a (mostly) legit way of playing these days.
