Bon Jour

Go to. Home Away.com. Rent an apartment for less with kitchen, washer, dryer. We never stay in a hotel.

Airbnb, dude. It's the only way to go. You can get some amazing places for cheaper than a hotel.

Stay the hell out of the old part of town. La Defense is better and more modern. Subway will get you anywhere you need. Rates are about the same for the high end hotels but there's no comparison with the amenaties.

No one can debate that La Defense is more modern, but there's something about being able to sit on the Champ de Mars at night and get wine drunk watching the light show on the Eiffel Tower and being able to walk back to your apartment, or being able to stroll the Seine, and things of that nature without having to catch the Metro back to La Defense.

You're a complete fricking idiot. There is NOTHING out in La Defense except skyscrapers. Not that you could afford a nice poster of Paris let alone a trip over.
