Yes it works. In IT field and I've only not gotten offers twice in my 18 years if I got an interview. Once in Denver before graduation in 99 and just last year by a local advertising company.

The important thing the do, once you've got your answers planned, is to present yourself as someone they will want to work with.

I generally just re-read their resume and review any information my secretary was able to find about them on social media.
