One lady on the radio was persistent about checking the first address and she ended up being there with her two girls. They said she actually did have a head injury and was hurt bad. They picked up the two girls because they didn't have room and came back and got Megan. Apparently her story was mostly true of what she was able to get out and remember.
It is absolutely amazing how everyone has come together during a natural disaster like this. This is one of hundreds of stories that are similar and have a good outcome. Humans are amazing when it comes down it and we are able to work together. I actually heard one of the dispatch ladies saying she was from Vermont almost 2000 miles away doing everything she could to help out. The amount of help and support from everywhere is beautiful.

I apologize if this isn't the proper place to post this, but my Richmond friend has finally decided to leave. She said she thinks she knows the best route to Austin, but I assured her I knew the best place to find the latest, most accurate information for her route.
This is her address:
1302 S. Haven
Richmond, TX
She's headed to Austin. I have the final destination address if it makes a difference.
Both vehicles are cars. She has two kids, husband, and elderly mother in law.
Can my Houston people in the know please help with a route for them?

Thanks. I checked their website and I'm seeing evacuation maps, and a list of road closures. But I don't know the area well so I was just hoping someone from around there had done this/knew someone who recently left and could give specifics.
