Worst baby I ever intubated was a 24 weeker coming in via emergency C-section.....It was like I was manipulating an alien.
I once used a glidescope and a stylet to manipulate some leftover big Mac on an ER found down........

Well technically I don't mean the old Charity.....I mean the new Charity aka University......which is technically the same thing without as much asbestos.

They changed the name from University as well. It's something like Interim LSU Hospital (ILH) or something like that. At least until UMC (which took the name of the hospital in Lafayette, forcing it to become UHC, oddly enough) is finished and opened in, from what I hear, May. Then it will possibly just be a large abandoned eyesore.

As an RN it is wayyyy out of my scope of practice to intubate. For some reason during NRP(newborn cpr basically) they make you practice intubating a baby mannequin.

probably very anterior as well....wouldn't even attempt with a laryngoscope.....Glidescope all the way...

I was a Glidescope fiend for a few weeks until I came across my first bloody airway with it. Went back old school with a good ole Mac and suction. I still like the Glidescope, but nothing wrong with old school technology as well
