Unless you had someone else to corroborate or witness this discussion, you just seriously jeopardized your employment. Your word against the word of two protected employees who can literally say anything they want about the content of the discussion. No chance I'd put myself in that position in today's climate. You made yourself feel better I guess, but these two own your arse and it's their discretion how they handle you. Should have just washed their dirty feet while down on your knees while you were at it.
