Make sure the ER staff documents every single complaint she has, even if it’s just minor stiffness, because soft tissue stuff often peaks a day or two later.
Since the other driver pulled out in front of her, the liability should be pretty clear, but insurance companies love to drag their feet on the valuation of a "brand new" car.
I had a similar situation and worked with Gammill Law to ensure the total loss settlement actually covered what the car was worth.
It might be worth checking out their site for a free case review just to see where you stand legally before signing anything from the insurance company.
