Is there a place in the country where crime never happens?
Probably not, but there are places where the undesirable population is less, so crime is greatly reduced.

What were the 2011-2013 averages?
More than it is currently, so your posted carjacking was ignorant considering the topic is whether New Orleans, and specifically Lakeview since you posted that, was getting worse. Stats say the opposite is true, but what do those matter?

Where did I say Lakeview was getting worse?

You brought up a lakeview carkjacking in a thread about nola getting worse in response to someone question a move out of lakeview. Please don't play stupid.

Pre-K, my best friend lived in Lakeview. His car was broken into.
My car was broken into. His mom put clothes on a line outside to dry and they were all stolen.
After K, his car was stolen out of his driveway in Lakeview.
I dunno, he wasn't murdered but in most other places a resident of a nice area doesn't have to tolerate so much crime.

I swear it's amazing how much brush back we get for taking ourselves out of a situation that we no longer wanted to be in from people that are determined to stay. Like its a slight on them. We just want to minimize our association with certain types of people that for now the N. Shore allows. I'm sure at some point public transportation will be allowed in Mandeville and Covington which will then necessitate more apartment complexes being built and some of the same problems will creep across the causeway.
EXACTLY!! The less interaction with certain demographics the less likely you are going to be susceptible to criminal activity against yourself, your family, and/or property.
Just visit and roll out!

Well, at that point I'm going to Canada.
Black on black crime has ruined enough of LA. Most of the people in St. Tammany aren't gonna let it happen here without a fight.

No, I brought it up in response to a post that made crime in Lakeview seem like an absurd notion.

Breesus didn't imply that though. He implied that a lot of crime in lakeview in 2015 is absurd, and the numbers back him up.

I ever tell you about that couple from Lafayette that opened up a shop on Magazine St ? Didn't even make a year before one of them was murdered.
