How is the star less likely to strip than the other?

Torx (star/butthole) is legit. Will be like the metric system - superior in every way but will take two generations to take over in America because we are stubborn as F.

Pentalobe : tGoat.

Flatheads are quick and easy though. Especially for my dumb girlfriend.

Only problem is: what are you gonna do with all those unusable screwdrivers? Sure we can use the flatheads as shanks. But what do we do with all those Phillips heads? Throw them in the ocean? Yeah, good luck getting that approved by the EPA.

Flathead is technology that has seen it's day and been surpassed.

That said, whether it's Phillips, star, or some other variation of a splayed drive, a whole lot of it depends on the quality of the tool and the screw (kind of like certain, other endeavors...).

If you have a shitty screw driver or a screw made of shitty material, success will be compromised, regardless of the screw head/screw driver integration.

Could we say that Phillips head screws are trashy?

Flathead

For routine stuff around the house, I can just grab a butter knife and keep it moving....
