Different degree. Got laid off couple months ago, decided to make some changes in my life. Went back to school. Started working out everyday. Ran my first 5k.

Sorry to hear that my younger brother lives in Louisiana and lost his job also. Tough times there. Glad to hear you are making the best of things though. My Gf just ran her first 5k two weeks ago also. She is training for a 13.1 now and wanted me to do it with her. I said no I am good

Was going to run the Crescent city classic, 10k. But hurt my neck playing soccer and couldn't train for the month leading up. Am doing it next year.

Got up today my Gf and oldest son were watching the latest Quentin tarentino movie. Some western with Samuel Jackson in it. Damn that movie was brutual. Blood and guts everywhere. Got my big one day off today

I hear ya. I got 3 of my own and my fiancée has 3. We're the modern Brady bunch. 3 boys/3 girls. All we need is a housekeeper to round out the gang.

You thought about moving out of La. after you finish your degree? I just got back from La. about 6 months ago and I never realized how much La. depends on the oil industry. Even my brother said he is done in that field of work.
