Kat Tees is also good if you work in Denham and like home cooking lunch specials around $7. brisket/chicken and dumplings/pork chops/etc.

Thought the same. But the food is dynamite. Authentic southwestern style and everything made fresh.

PLEASE stop talking about Randazzo's. It will be packed and I won't ever be able to get in anymore.

That little place will close if word doesn't get out, they'll also move into something bigger if business picks up...it's a catch 22

Every time I have been, its been at about 90% capacity. If you can't stay afloat with that kind of business, popularity won't help.

I've seen that kind of thing happen, with a small "mom & pop" italian restaurant before. Get a bigger place, attract crowds, big chain company comes in and buys it, start using frozen foods, 2 years later the place is a dump.

I <3 Bass Pro, but whatever you do, DO NOT dine at Islamorada - the restaurant In BP. It's really too bad because the restaurant is beautiful; they obviously spent a fortune making it that way, but the food is purely terrible, and the service is not much better. I don't understand how Bass Pro can allow that to happen, particularly when their flagship store in Springfield has a wonderful restaurant, Hemingway's. ... If you want to enjoy the great ambience of Islamorada, go have a couple of drinks at the bar after shopping in BP, then go to Cafe Phoenicia to eat. It's just across the parking lot from Bass Pro.

Mediocre, AT BEST ^^^ ... Both food & service, and I'm being kind about the service.

No, just no ...

Surely, you are joking. Cafe Green is disgustingly filthy with terrible food & rude service ... ALL THE TIME. ... I don't understand how the Health Dept. hasn't closed its doors. Awful. ...

**Cafe Phoenicia is consistently excellent with very friendly & knowledgable wait staff. Also, the restaurant itself is clean; you don't feel like you need to bathe from just picking up a to-go order. ...
-Their Halloum cheese, fried kibbi, fried eggplant, calamari, Grecian egg roll, are great apps, but I'd recommend appetizer sampler since many of these come on it. Be sure to get an order of the hummus ...
-Mediterranean Salad w/feta is wonderful, as is the Tabouleh ...
-For entrees, the Meat Mousaka, Lamb Shank, Shish Kabob, Gyros Pita Wrap, Pasta Phoenicia w/Gyros, & Gyros Salad are all very good. (I prefer gyros to chicken, but the Chicken Shawarma is good, too.) ...
-And of course, get the Ashta or Baklava.

**Randazzo's is really good ...
-Today's special is lasagna, but last time we had it, the sauce was a bit watery. ...
-Their spaghetti & meatballs is great; I ask them to substitute their meat sauce for the marinara which makes it even better. ...
-Eggplant Parm is my fave meatless dish; very good. ...
-The Caprese salad with added prosciutto is awesome. ...
-Focaccia bread w/Italian prosciutto & Burrata mozzarella is incredible. ...
-Their Muff & the Michelangelo are wonderful sandwiches. Can't decide which I like better; both awesome. ...
-The Lemoncello, Lemon Cake, & Cannolis are to die for.
I love authenticity of the food & the ambience of this place. Even when I go to get pick-up, I end up buying something from the deli case, too. The story of the couple who own it is really very cool & romantic, as well. They are extremely friendly; always enjoy talking to them when we go.

**Whistle Stop Cafe
I just enjoy the atmosphere here. The sandwiches & soup have always been consistently good, as well as the coffee & desserts. I usually buy carrot cakes from them for holidays or company when I'm too lazy/busy to bake them. ... Today might be a good day to sit on the porch with a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate & a piece of pie or cake - be sure to wear a jacket, though.
