Head room for tall guy.
Most won't have it.
Chevy Trax loaded.
Head room and tons of features for under 35 plus tax and license. Under 40k.
Luxury and 40k not congruent

The Trax is a compact crossover. It's a great car for young families in the snow belt.....but it's not a luxury vehicle.

I think he went with the TLX, which I should be plenty of room. My SO is over 6' and doesn't complain at all when he drives my car.
ETA: NOSHAU, that's aggravating! It sounded like a sham anyway

Unless he goes used, under 40k is not luxury model if he needs headroom.
39"seated headroom
Kia Sorrento
Chevy trax
Most jeeps
None of the cars mentioned above meet his requirement for tall seated headroom.

Snow belt is good point.
Chevy trax comes in awd as does Kia Sorrento.
There's so much ice here this morning it doesn't matter (not even trying) but to get south of here you have to have chains or awd with snow tires today. All the mts in norcal got serious snow last night.

Yeah I can see how a Trax would be ideal in that. Easy to park as well if you have an older garage.
They are just a bit small for what I'd want.
