Do people really give a shite about something you did when you were a teenager after your first job?
It shows dedication to achieving a goal. Eagle Scouts have to earn something like 35 Merit Badges along with the requirements for rank advancement, from hiking to camping to cooking to knots, community service, etc. They hold leadership roles in their troop, practice public speaking, and have to effectively communicate with their peers as well as adult leaders, all before the age of 18 years old. I’d say earning your Eagle Scout says a lot about a person’s character and work ethic.

You responded twice to the same question. They’re teenagers, once you get out of college, who gives a shite?
I’m not saying it isn’t a good thing or it doesn’t teach good habits but you’re acting like it’s the Medal of Honor or some shite.
Glad your kid knows how to tie knots though

I did, and provided additional information as to why it’s such an accomplishment. I decided to post again instead of editing my original answer. Glad you noticed. I understand I’m not going to convince you, but I’m 100% certain that it does matter to lots of people that hire/promote, etc.

In the 100s of people I’ve been involved in hiring, I don’t ever even recall seeing this on a resume… and we hire a shite ton of nerds

a-hole Was Your NameO, why you want to piss on his son’s accomplishment? Granted he didn’t jump on a grenade to save his buddies in Nam but he probably sold more stamps in his district than your deadbeat son to earn those merit badges.
