Cute dog. An equivalent gift for a Bama or Florida fan would not work as well.

We are well prepared. He's got a 4 year old boy to run around with, a 5 year old dog who loves to play with younger dogs, and more than a few chew toys around the house. We saw how chew happy he was when we met with the Breeder, so we went to Petsmart and picked up a few things for him.

Mine will put ANYTHING in his mouth at any time. They are so food driven that they think anything is edible. I keep about 10 Nylabones all over my house and he has yet to tear up anything.

Golden Retreivers slobber almost as much as any other dog. If a dog gets overheated, they will slobber. If they stay cool, then most of them will not.

Keep working on her. Bulldogs are awesome with kids. Mine will sit with my 1 and 3yo nieces and let them put beads and bracelets on him all day long. He is an attention whore to say the least.

I used to want a bulldog, after reading the replies in this thread, I think I will keep sticking to pound rescues.

what's wrong with the replies?

Several years back we had a bulldog that was of the same bloodline as Bully, the MSU mascot. Just as you would suspect of a dog with MSU lineage, that dog was so damn dumb and lazy.

1800 is cheap as fuxk for him, they are 5500 out here without the prestigious bloodline

Hows this work? I've always understood pedigree to be pedigree and that you can't just go out registering dogs however you want.
I'm not saying you're lying, I would just like to know how its done.

the Breeder is registering and once he registers
Any reputable breeder should have papers ready when you pick up the dog. The whole "I'm waiting for the papers, I'll mail them to you" thing is a common tactic used by POS puppy-mill breeders.
I hate to break it to you but you may have gotten fricked.

I have the CKC papers in hand, and I did my research on the breeder before my wife wired him the money. This breeder has people driving from all over the south to get one. When I was picking my pup up, one of the other buyers showed up. They drove from Orlando, FL to purchase one.

Awesome man, glad to hear it. If you weren't given any proof of pedigree when you picked up the dog I would be HIGHLY alarmed. Sounds like you're good to go.
Nice looking dog btw.
ETA: It is still cause for concern that he doesn't have the AKC registration. Both parents should have already been registered, there's no reason the litter shouldn't be as well.

Thank you. My wife hinted that she had something planned for me after work, and I had to dig it out of her to tell me. So once she told me we were getting a Bulldog that was UGA bloodline, I got back to work and started doing immediate research. I wanted to make sure this guy was registered in CKC, as well as the puppies. He used some of the fees from this litter of puppies to start the AKC registration process, which is why they aren't registered as of yet.

Both parents have to be both CKC and AKC to get both and the breeder has to submit all the paper work or give it to you to do it. You can have dual register because the AKC does not recognize CKC. CKC is barely worth the paper it is printed on because it is littered with bad breeders/puppy mills/backyard breeders. AKC still has a lot of bad breeders, but they are much more active in trying to get rid of them, where the CKC doesn't really care as long as it is full blooded. AKC is a lot more work and harder to get them registered there which is why some breeders don't do it. You can get AKC PAL listing if you have no paperwork, but that pretty much only allows you to do dog sports, not show in your breed class.
