So you think everyone in the rest of the state stayed home over the weekend and didn’t go out? Lol you’re dumb, should’ve seen Tigerland over the weekend.

I just googled and apparently Shreveport is top 10 for overall STDs and BR and NOLA have slid from their previous high rankings.

Honestly at this point the precedent we are setting scares me even more than the looming recession

Friend,
Excepting for two trips to Sams in which I’ve never gotten within 6 feet of anyone except the cashier and the receipt checker, I’ve been quarantined now in my home for two weeks. I am sorry my fellow citizens have ignored the obvious danger signs. But it’s not just New Orleans. Americans in general are not willing to sacrifice individual pleasure for communal good. Such is the state of living in a world with libertarians.
Sincerely,
TulaneLSU

I just got a text from a buddy who is involved in restaurants and he said that the Federal gov. is going to shut down all nonessential businesses in the next 48 hours...

Agree here
I just don't get it, if your community leaders and government are telling you to severely limit social contact and you don't comply, then what do you expect to happen?

I hope my small business gets some bailout money.
JK I'll ultimately be fine but many small businesses will not recover without some help.

Yeah. Exercising your rights is how you get them taken away by a power hungry authoritarian government. I agree.

Pretty sure da President declared national emergency and the fed just pumped 1.5 trillion in cash into the markets and pres just pressured the fed again into lowering interest rates.
And y'all blaming NOLA. Damn I thought Mississippians were dumb.

I just checked and Louisiana’s infection numbers have tripled in two days. If that trend continues... JFC

Look, I'm all in on this thing will pass soon and we are overreacting as a whole but it wouldn't hurt people to stop "exercising" their right for just a few weeks as not to spread it further and delay recovery.

The community leaders in New Orleans are corrupt pieces of shite who don’t even have their own lives in order. I wouldn’t take their advice for any reason.
