Let’s start with the arrogance. Get in a car and drive to an emergency vet. DVMs aren’t plumbers. They don’t wait by the phone for you to call after hours needing service. Wonder if the OP has a regular veterinarian? And if so, why not call them?
And you want an “evaluation” on a Sunday? Do you want to treat it or nuke it? This shite about asking for a house call on a Sunday in deteriorating weather just so you can get an evaluation is laughable.

All... THANK YOU! The dog is sick, in fact dying.Sorry for whining about how much is sucks here in BR Town. I know that does not help our little 13 year old. And yes we have a regular vet and yes our vet doesn't think the dog is ready to be euthanized. We are trying to prepare ourselves for the inevitable as well as doing everything else like trying to stay warm and keep trees from falling through our roof. Nothing different here except the misery and again thank you all for your kind words and suggestions. Hope that everyone is safe.
