If you were in sales, you could find a job tomorrow, possibly as amanager if your old company was a good one, and you could bring a great client list with you.
Worry about your own numbers, not your whole company's.

funny how omitting one word, "off", changes everything
Don't fear change, but don't let it rule you either.

If you take off out the last part of sentence, the statement is actually a positive for some.
That is how I read the sentence at first. I didn’t see the off.
Job world can be cruel. You spend years working with a company and next thing you know they think you are as expendable as next person they are looking to hire.

I used to own and operate a taxi cab company. Occasionally a business or plant etc. would call me and arrange to pick someone up at a pre determined time. No other information. Lots of times it was an employee that had been fired, blindsided "let go" and brought them home on the businesses dime. Most times there was a lot of silence other times I've seen grown men cry and wonder what they were going to do. I would just let them vent. It sucked for those poor guys. Often times they didnt seem to even know why they were fired but who knows? Maybe they didnt tell me the whole story.
