And Nashville gets a wide array of different grass and tree pollen from all directions because of the proximity to different types of vegetation/eco systems. Other areas with high pollen counts are more concentrated in a handful of types. Basically if you have any seasonal allergies to anything, you'll be impacted in Nashville. And to your point, it just collects in the basin.

Oak pollen in Baton Rouge is excruciating if that's your weakness, but Nashville has that plus all sorts of other trees and grasses.
