My family was pretty well connected in Opelousas many years ago. All have passed or moved away.

There is some money in Lake Prov that offsets what most people correlate the town to. I still believe the town has the biggest wage gap in the country from top to bottom, and I find it hard to believe anywhere in this state has a lower bottom from a financial perspective.
