Update: after changing the spark plug, it still had issues. I read someone saying it may be getting air on the intake side, so I changed that gasket. Now, it’s not starting and the engine is flooding. I’m just going to order a new carb and see if that fixes it.

Shake it.

Seriously.

Your carb is fine.

The small valve that shuts off the flow of fuel got wedged when you were reinstalling the carb.

Get a real carb, not an Amazon Chinese knockoff.

I'm just chiming in to say that I've hade the Ryobi 40v
tools for over 2 years now. I've been so pleasantly surprised at the power and battery life of these tools.

If you don't have a large yard, I can't see ever going back to gas. I use to have a large yard and fought with the weedeater EVERY summer for 8 years.
I'm so happy now. And if I ever feel indulgent, I'll just upgrade to the EGO 60v equipment(cost about 2x's as much as ryobi).

Current setup works perfectly for small yard. Two batteries. Total cost was ~$450
Mower

And this Expand it Trimmer with the edger and blower(don't need chainsaw).
