Our son is the same, Zantac made it worse. Medium and omeprazole work for him with nutramigen in dr Browns bottles. Also the wedge in the crib. Keep baby elevated for 10 minutes after feeding.

Late to the party here, but this stuff works miracles with our 7 month old. She used to have problems until we changed to this formula. Another miracle product every now and then when her tummy is acting up is a few drops of gripe water. I've never seen something work so quickly!

Good luck!

Physician here.
My pediatrician happens to be a pediatric gastroenterologist and told my wife (also a physician) and I that Zantac would help with discomfort from reflux but not the spitting up. He said that there was no FDA approved pharmacotherapy for that. My wife and I are are certain that our boy had reflux. For other reasons, we had to go to Nutramigen with no change to the reflux symptoms. However, probably around 7 -8 months or so, the symptoms abated.

As others have said, if he’s gaining weight, that’s really all that’s important.

FYI, Nutramigen is a partially hydrolyzed formula. There’s a fully hydrolyzed formula but I forget the name. Neither of those will necessarily help this type of symptom. Another option is donated breast milk if he did well on that before.

Because there are legit reasons to stop. However if the OP is asking for advice on dealing with a poor decision that was made by the mom and not a doctor I have no sympathy

Do you know what a question is?

Feed your child breast milk like the universe intended. Do you not love your child? That's the only reason I can come with for putting it on formula.
