And we are in the Dark Ages again. Why not.

You could start with the a-hole down the road from me. We didn't have a cat problem until his lazy, fat arse showed up with a couple cats
Good luck getting the guy to be fined or anything like that. I had a neighbor once that would always keep food out for the strays so they just lingered and multiplied. I started trapping them and sending them to animal control. I'm not exaggerating that I sent over 30 feral cats to lethel injection. But we still had a problem until two orange tabby a moved into the neighborhood. Those two cats handled the stray population and we all kept them fed. Even Mikel was in on it and one other poster here.

Anyone who is caught allowing them to breed unchecked should have the cats taken and face penalties.

There's way more to just a simple, "Cats Declared Invasive Species" story here.
First, a review of the following new "Cat-Facts" gleaned from the original article ( according to Laura Helmuth, editor-in-chief at Scientific American):
1) In the U.S. alone, housecats kill more than 2 billion birds each year
2) Cats are responsible for the extinction of 63 different Bird species
3) There's a Birds Holocaust afoot. IT is the reason that makes Cats a threat to muh-Ecosystem[/b]
Could we be witnessing yet another "Crisis"? (A "CAT Crisis"?) OR, are we merely witnessing one more insane claim by the deranged "Science" Academe advancing an Agenda?
Melding the subjects of Politics and "Science" -- what could go wrong? (other than declaring Cats a "Invasive Species")
The primary source of this emergency lunacy is one more lunatic millennial broad, Laura Helmuth. She lists her heavy "credentials" for "Muh-Science" at Scientific American
How many problems can you spot below?:

HUH?!?? "FUTURE Cyber Souls"?
"Miss Science Authoritah" sure sounds like an advocate for "Transhumanism".
In conclusion, is there anything more dangerous than a "Futurist" / "Scientist" with an agenda and several platforms from which they can blend tProg-Mind's politics, social-re-engineering AND "Science" that help facilitate an inverted-reality?

Exactly who is responsible for these feral cats that are destroying the world? Who should we arrest?
Aaaah. You've gotten The Memo.
Own a Cat? Better register it. AS A DEADLY WEAPON...
...Because if 1984's New Authoritahs find out your Cat has impregnated OTHER Killer Cats, YOU could be charged as an accomplice to the Mass Murder of Tweety's family.
If this sounds absurd and insane, may I remind you to peek at your calender.

Are you asking me to explain statistics?
Only if you know the answer. I’m not looking for argument here, just wondering how they come up with their numbers?
I understand the concept of observing making estimates based on a sample size but I don’t get how they have any idea of how many cats are running around. It’d be hard enough to get any sort of accurate number of cat owners, much less figure out how many of those cats go outside. And if the ones who go outside, how many live in bird-rich areas. And then how many feral cats are out there.
The numbers are likely BS, but there is a method to how they get them.
I assume they select communities that resemble the majority of communities in an area. In those selected communities, they can observe and collect very meaningful data. They draw a conclusion from that data and make the assumption that the data wouldn't deviate substantially in other similar communities. Adding it all up is the final step.

This [Cats killing Birds] is true, but it also has a great deal to do with the continued clear cutting of woodlands.
If we go with this theory (which may at least be partly true -- see Brazil), then who is the REAL demon here?
Yup. MAN. ---------------------------->/s

No there isn't.
This is all just more blatant bullsh*t aka Gaslighting -- catapulted by "The Science".
We are being conditioned to gratuitously kill life. But the real agenda is farmore insidious than that. Why? Who can deny that Cats and Dogs are the two members of the Animal Kingdom considered by many to be "Family".

Surely you’re not talking about Mikel’s two orange cats? Bob (my baby) and Roscoe?

Why don't they just import some eagles, and hawks, and other birds of prey. Those fackers will wreck a litter of kittens.
