Is this not the definition of a straw man, also based on circumstantial evidence? I'm speaking about this specific case, not the current state of rape allegations in America. Projecting the issue onto this case and building an argument around it is exactly what you just described a straw man to be.

they'll make you come in, give a statement, and do some light investigation
if you went on a date with a guy, had sex, and went to the cops after and said you were raped, gave a statement, gavehis info, and showed you 2 were together that night (texts, etc), he'd be arrested ASAP
