Cane's prices are no better or worse than the majority of its competition. In fact it's at least as cheap as Popeye's, and I don't ever read about anyone bitching about Popeye's prices.

There is not a combo item meant as a meal for one person that costs 12 dollars (more if you opt for the lemonade, which again is ludicrous) at any other fast food place. Including Popeye's.

A tad dramatic, are we?

Not disgusting by a long shot. My only issue with the place are the sides. Literally everything they serve you is a lovely shade of golden brown/yellow outside of the coleslaw(which I don't get). It's very HS cafeteria lunch in that sense, but the chicken is good.

no, not at all. shite is nasty. any chicken joint or gas station in S.LA has better, larger chicken strips at half the cost.

It's been probably 4 years since I've had it, but I remember Popeyes chicken being some sort of cross in size between a Cornish game hen and a bantan chicken.

The best chicken joint is Layne's in College Station.

You're doing it wrong. Always trade the slaw for extra sauce.

No, you're doing it wrong. They charge you .79 or .99 for an extra toast/fries/finger, so you swap our slaw for one of those, at no cost, then add an additional Canes sauce for .29 Haha Ive been a time or two. Swap the 1 for 1 value, then add an extra sauce which is cheap. I recommend doubling up on the toast.

When I was a freshman at LSU, 2007, it was great. The fingers were huge and you could get a free box after a basketball win. Within a year or two though, the fingers started getting smaller in size, all the cool promos went away, and the prices started creeping up. I go on occasion, but its getting out of cheap eat range. The sauce, toast, and sweet tea is what I go for. Its good but not great, well not anymore at least.

Does anyone have A PDQ around them. I wonder how Canes compares to them.

Cane's is great. The cool thing to do on TD is bash Cane's. They have fresh chicken fingers and some sides. That's it. It is what it is. The employees are all VERY nice. I'd rather be served by nice, clean people than by the alternative.

Exactly. It's a fast food chicken joint, not Ruth's Chris. They're very good at what they do, and anyone of us in Todd Grave's position would downsize those strips for better margins
