Red Sticks at Horseshoe Bend just across the Alabama border. Went there last year. Cool little park.
I’ve been to this park many times. There’ was a lot of blood spilled on those grounds. That place is eerie. You just know you are not alone out there, your 6th sense makes you aware of that.
On one occasion, I was out there all by myself on a bluebird sky day. Beautiful day to be be a bird or a squirrel, except they were nowhere to be seen. No birds chirping, none flying. No squirrels barking or rummaging through the leaves. No natural sounds of the woods. It dawned on me all I heard was the breeze blowing past my ears. That was the first time I didn’t feel alone out there. It was very calming but also spooky at the same time.
