Pisces, who was the Redemptorist BB Coach that Daddy Dale hired as an assistant to ensure HiC and Derek Taylor signed with LSU? I'm drawing a blank.

It's certainly not in the best neighborhood.

Hundred Oaks/Kleinert Terrace isn't a good neighborhood?

I'll be sure to tell those buying at $200 psf...

NO clue, Y.A. My only other guess would be Craig Carse.

Abernathy was Rudy Macklin's high school coach in Louisville.

Rick Huckabay.

My brother was a starter on Hi-C's first La Hoops championship team at good ol' RHS.

I see. My days of knowing assistant coaches only reaches back to about '86, righ after Hi C and at the end of DT.

Question for you...Where did Steffan Johnson play? Capitol? Or was he from elsewhere. My first memory of LSU basketball on tv was watching Dayton plaster us in the NIT and he was sound asleep on the bench.

HOW many coaches did Dale hire just to get the stud?

He hired a semi-worthless Jim Childers just for 1 year of Stanley Roberts and many, many turn around 11 foot jumper bricks.

Yep, that's it. It wasn't Huckaby, that was the only name that was coming to me, but he was a N. La. guy as I recall.

There was a third stud player from Redemptorist that turned out to be a bust. I can't recall him either.

Interesting. Is/Was Andarek the most current principal? She used to run Sacred Heart Catholic School in Hattiesburg.

Coach duhe's daughter graduated from Redemptorist with me. He has been at st Amant up until this year.

My parents most of my uncles and aunts and majority of my friends are alumni. It's a sad day. Say what you will, but Redemptorist high school is a special place to lots of folks in this community.

I don't know about Steffan. Tyrone Black came out of Capitol, I believe.

From November 28, 2013 Times Picayune in New Orleans:

"The lowest scoring voucher school, Redemptorist Elem in Baton Rouge, had a score of 18.6 on the 150 point scale. If measured along public schools, Redemptorist would be the second worst in the state, not counting alternative schools. Any score lower than a 50 is an F."

Huckabay brought Hi-C to LSU.

Gary Duhe may have brought Derrick Taylor but Huck brought Hi-C.

So, they both coached at Redemptorist? I remember Duhe had them at some sort of mythical #1 high school in the country ranking at some point with Taylor and a big tall guy -- the guy who turned out to be a college bust. His name escapes me, and I'm not sure he signed with LSU.

Redemptorist has a large number of faculty who do not teach. They let their kids sleep or play basketball in the gym. A lot of their kids had already transferred and while socially, they are very sound, their skills are way behind other private school students. It's BAD.

Belaire having higher scores than Redemptorist - reason to shut down anyway.
