I have read these threads for as long as I have been on TD and it is the same thing every time. Nothing but a bunch of bitching and none of ya”ll have the nuts to organize a effort among the students and ppl living in the area to stop this. Put together a Facebook group. Get as many ppl as possible to follow and stalk these trucks and drivers. Take as many pics and videos as possible of these guys in action. Doesn’t matter if they are doing it legally or not. Follow them and film them as closely as possible. No one likes getting put on video or pics taken of them. Especially when the goal is to catch them doing something wrong or illegal even if it is the most minor thing. Just stalk the shite out of them at every turn

I read the laws and some are vague. They don't provide for much of a penalty. You can recover the money they made you pay, plus reasonable atty. fees in some cases.
I am guessing they hardly ever get sued because their bad behavior continues. I would buy a Wrist Rocket slingshot, a pair of rubber gloves, and a few pounds of 1/4" steel ball bearings. They would have to replace a lot of windows in the doors of their trucks.

I had two local bar/restaurant owners willing to help me navigate the process of getting BWW to pay for it because of the brain-dead management decision to allow a "towing after close" parking lot policy at a bar. Not very smart.
Every other bar I've ever been to in the USA actually ENCOURAGES patrons to leave their vehicles til the morning.
They should have had a system in place where a drunken but responsible patron could get an "overnight permit" hang tag thingy from their server. And so on.
But it was just easier to pay the shite heads at Riverside and be done with it.

They’re not just allowing them. They’re hiring them. Riverside sucks, but what y’all should really be mad at are the businesses that contract with them.
If enough residents came together against it.. threatening to not renew leases, and it got enough traction outside of the complex to make them fear it would deter new residents, there’s at least a chance they’d change their tune.

Knoxville has a similar company that does the exact same shite. I graduated 10 years ago and still despise those people - shady as hell and would pull all sorts of dirty tricks.
However, someone did get some revenge. They used to stage their trucks in a certain lot in Fort Sanders and for whatever reason, one of them left a truck to help out another driver on his call. Somebody bashed the window out and tossed in a molotov cocktail and burned that bitch down.
