Since the statue is hollow, what are the chances the pressure between the ropes cracks it in half and his body falls in two pieces. That would suck, but I kind of hope that would happen to them if it could.

I was down there for a couple of hours earlier and everyone that sounded like they were for taking the monuments down were from Connecticut or somewhere else up north.
Some gal from up north came by and said the people of New Orleans deserve to wake up without being under the gaze of a white supremacist.
I told her "I guess the people of New Orleans should have got to vote for it then, right"?
If everyone in New Orleans supports this and the city is majority black a vote would have been a slam dunk, right?
I don't think there was enough local support for it to pass and they couldn't chance the people having a voice in this.
This is a disgrace.
