Yes. It's made for wood and tile floor cleaning.

I should petition Neato and Roomba for stock options after starting this thread.

Roomba went in beast mode Sunday for me. She'll run again this morning at 11:00. My cat disappears when that thing makes that cool arse sound, like it's saying it's go time, when it's undocking. Can't wait to get my dog here and see how that encounter goes.

We have a Roomba and a mint. Alonf with roughly 5 other vaccuums, floor cleaners (wife is OCD regarding being clean). They actually have a Roomba model specifically for homes with pets

Nevee heard of a Neato. Roomba bought Mint, so theres that. We are on our second Roomba in 6 years. About time for a new one. The Mint is odd shaped and fits under less furniture so my wife had me go around and put rubber spacers under our leather couch and love seat so it would fit undee them. Seems to work great. We also have a Dyson stick that works great on the stairs and for quick cleanups. We have a Hoover Floormate for any bad spots. It picks up liquids and steams...which helps with two young kids in the house. Ww have hardwood and tile everywhere except the bedrooms.

Also the Mint works off a GPS locater that creates a grid for it to work in. You have to place it and start it each time. But it keeps you from Swiffering.

I just ordered the Neato from Walmart. I have had a Roomba and did not like it. Cleaning the pet hair out of the brushes and wheels became a pain. I am excited about the reviews and the testimonials of the Neato in this thread. We also have a rug that sheds. My wife bought an expensive arse rug and now this thing sheds like crazy, didn't even know a rug could shed. It is almost worse than my dog. Hopefully the neato will help.

I don't know how people have dogs and function without one of these! I'm not going to lie - it's pretty entertaining to watch the thing go!

I honestly never knew about them for dog hair. I've heard of people using them but dog hair is pretty tough on most vacuum cleaners. I'm glad this thread popped up.

That would be funny to watch except for the fact that you just destroyed a $500 vacuum cleaner.

We love ours! Have had it a year and our floors are soooo much cleaner. I have a dog, cat and two young boys and if allowed to run everyday and you keep things relatively picked up it will work like a champ. I know that when this one wears out we will likely get another one. Hopefully that won't be for a long time to come.

Does it do entire floors, or just individual rooms? As in, if I get on and put it upstairs, will it go from bedroom to bedroom, or would I basically have to move it from room to room? And how does it feel about little lego pieces that my youngest son always drops that seem to disappear into the carpet?

The Roomba that we got was expensive, but $500 not 600. Also we got it at Bed Bath and Beyond and utilized the cool 20% discount coupon for a one item purchase - so we got ours for $400. I'd say that so far its worth it. Hopefully it will last a long time.

It goes from room to room one at a time. If it runs out of power while cleaning it goes back to its base charges and returns to where it left off.

So one of my roommates txt'd me that Wall-E has gone missing! He was not in his dock and couldn't be heard roaming the cavernous rooms and hallways of our house. I am anxious to find out what type of adventure he's gotten himself into.

Did he go exploring under a couch and get into a battle to the death with some dog hair or a massive evil dust bunny? I imagine it would be a showdown of epic proportions with all the under the couch gnomes there to witness in a stadium of death. Perhaps he has enlisted the assistance of his new-found adventure friend, Sadie the lab? Or has she left him to his fate on a solo mission from God?

He was scheduled to depart his dock at 0700 for the cleaning mission. My roommate said he thinks he heard him in another room on the other side of the house from his dock. But that room is down a 4 inch step in the kitchen. He isn't supposed to go over edges of stairs, but maybe he was so determined that he constructed a ramp or some type of rope swing apparatus to ease his descent?

I will be forever curious of the events that took place in the life of Wall-E today.

I hope we find him safe and sound when I return home this evening.

ETA: and hopefully he cleaned the floor
