She's the deputy director of HR at a large government shared services center. Very close to the next step.
She gave up French when I got an engineering job in San Francisco after LSU. I say gave up...it's never really left her soul and one day we'll spend a good amount of time there, she's just given up on it as a career.

You have no job and are presumably living with family that feeds you. Student debt and no girlfriend.
